Corporate Policies

Maury Microwave Corporation and its employees are committed to meeting customer and legal requirements in order to achieve customer satisfaction. We will always strive to provide quality products on time and continually improve our Quality Management System.

Maury Microwave Corporation is environmentally responsible and safety conscious in all aspects of our operations and in regard to all of our products and services. The following corporate policies are provided for review by our customers and other interested parties:

Product Safety and Regulations Policy

Maury’s Product Safety Policy is to provide products that meet legal requirements and are safe for their intended markets and use.

Maury’s managers and employees are expected to support this policy in accordance with their roles and responsibilities in the organization.

The following courses of action outline our conformance with this policy:

  • Determine safety, regulatory and related customer requirements applicable to our products in their intended markets.
  • Integrate product safety and regulatory compliance principles and methodologies into our business and decision making practices.
  • Design and verify product compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clear, accurate and timely conformity information to customers, employees, and government agencies.
  • Undertake appropriate and timely investigations and corrective actions in response to any product safety incident.
  • Continually improve the effectiveness of our product safety and regulatory compliance processes, practices and tools to enhance results for our customers and employees.
  • General Product Safety Directive: Directive 2001/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 December 2001 on general product safety. MAURY MICROWAVE products are in accordance.

This policy is approved by Maury’s Executive Committee and applies to Maury operations worldwide.

EU RoHS, REACH SVHC and General Product Safety Declarations

RoHS

Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of (6) certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (“RoHS Directive”).

Directive 2015/863/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 June 2015 on the restriction of the use of 4 Phthalates: DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP.

MAURY MICROWAVE products are intended for commercial, defense and industrial use only, and are classified within the EU RoHS Directive Category 9 list as Industrial Monitoring and Control Equipment.

Lead: Most Maury Microwave products are manufactured from metal alloys, for which some are known to contain lead in small concentrations normally below the maximum levels specified by RoHS. Where soldering is required, Maury Microwave uses only industry accepted lead-free solders.

Phthalates DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP: Maury Microwave is compliant with respect to DEHP, BBP and DIBP. Where the possible presence of DBP may exist in some products, we will strive to ensure any presence falls below the 1000 ppm threshold by July 2021.

REACH SVHC

REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) and Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC): Latest Revision: 14th June 2023.

MAURY MICROWAVE electronic test and measurement equipment are considered “articles” under REACH. Maury Microwave confirms these products do not contain any SVHC above a concentration of 0.1% by weight; with the exception to some metal alloys that may contain small concentrations of lead, normally below the maximum threshold.

MAURY MICROWAVE monitors the candidate list on an ongoing basis for updates and will respond to SVHC that are relevant to its product portfolio.

General Product Safety Directive

Directive 2001/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 December 2001 on general product safety. MAURY MICROWAVE products are in accordance.

Environmental Policy

It Maury’s Environmental Policy is to act in an environmentally responsible manner in regard to our operations and products.

Maury’s managers and employees are expected to support this policy in accordance with their roles and responsibilities in the organization.

The following courses of action stipulate our conformance with this policy:

  • Operate an environmental management system that is aligned with our business practices and the practice of continual improvement.
  • Conduct our operations in a manner that is committed to recycling, conservation of resources, active remediation of environmental contamination, and prevention of pollution.
  • Ensure our products and operations comply with relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Responsibly manage the use of hazardous materials in our operations and products and promote recycling of our products.
  • Inform suppliers, partners, and contractors of our environmental expectations and encourage them to adopt sound environmental management practices.
  • Promote environmental responsibility among our employees.
  • Make accurate environmental information about our products and operations available to customers, shareholders, employees and government agencies.
  • Continually improve the effectiveness of our product safety and regulatory compliance processes, practices and tools to enhance results for our customers and employees.

This policy is approved by Maury’s Executive Committee and applies to Maury operations worldwide.

Conflict Minerals Compliance

Products supplied by Maury Microwave Corporation may contain gold and/or tin, in the metal plating of our parts. Maury, nor our suppliers source these minerals from restricted smelters/countries defined in accordance with the SEC Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.

Maury will continue to monitor subject materials and suppliers, and participate in the Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative; Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CFSI – CMRT) program. The Current version of the Maury CFSI-CMRT is available upon request.

Cobalt Sourcing Compliance

Products supplied by Maury Microwave Corporation may contain trace amounts of Cobalt found in metal alloys: Aluminum, Bronze, Copper & Stainless Steel; as well as in some gold plating solutions. Maury, nor our suppliers source Cobalt from smelters/countries that use child labor and/or unsafe working conditions in cobalt mining; and/or where trade in Cobalt finances armed conflict in Conflict Affected or High Risk Areas (CAHRAs).

Maury will continue to monitor cobalt sourcing from our suppliers and participate in the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) using the Cobalt Reporting Template (CRT).

Statement Regarding Specific Quality Alerts

Maury Microwave is aware of the recent quality alerts regarding product records from the following companies: Kobe Steel and their subsidiaries; Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and their subsidiaries.

We are pleased to state that Maury products and products provided by our sub-tier suppliers do not contain any suspect materials from the above suppliers.
