ABSTRACT: As advances in GaN and other wide-bandgap technologies drive higher frequency, power density, and efficiency requirements, fundamental load pull alone cannot fully reveal nonlinear behavior or harmonic interactions. This paper discusses the application and limitations of harmonic tuning for nonlinear device characterization and how Maury multi-carriage tuners support a disciplined characterization workflow.
