Pulsed IV System

Accurate IV Characterization in Quasi-Isothermal Conditions

The Maury PIV Series is a fully integrated pulsed IV power supply system designed for accurate device characterization of power semiconductors, including GaN and other high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs). By minimizing self-heating effects through controlled pulsed biasing, the PIV Series enables engineers to capture the true intrinsic behavior of their devices under realistic operating conditions — essential for compact modeling and design validation.

The system consists of three tightly integrated modules: the PIV-MAIN high-voltage AC/DC supply, the PIV-30V-BP bipolar gate pulser, and the PIV-280V high-voltage drain pulser. Together, they deliver an unmatched combination of voltage range, timing precision, and measurement accuracy.
